Self Improvement
Exercise isn't a tool for punishment

“Exercise isn’t a tool for punishment, it’s a tool for self improvement” - Me, 2021.
This is something that made its way into one of my Instagram posts, a meme of all things.
**Side note - if you don’t follow me on Instagram, you’re missing out. Find me HERE.
At the time I was trying to make a point about what we tell ourselves about training and nutrition, but I don’t think I was aware of just how powerful a statement this is. This statement truly reflects how I feel about what I do.
I help people improve themselves.
In a direct sense, this is done by making you stronger. Helping you lose body fat. Lowering your blood pressure. Maybe shaving a few seconds of your 2km time.
But in an indirect sense, this is done by building confidence.
Increasing self worth and belief in yourself.
Improving your mental health, improving your relationships.
Hell, probably even improving your sex life! That’s how far reaching this idea of self improvement can be!
Self improvement is the most worthwhile investment you can make.
Forget the stock market, forget real estate… invest in you!
If you haven’t realised already, you are the limiting factor in your life.
So it’s really a no brainer to focus on yourself. And this isn’t selfish, in fact it’s the opposite - it’s selfless.
If you asked your husband/wife/mother/daughter/boss/friend I’m sure they’ll tell you they value you for who you are, and so they should.
You’re one of a kind. But think about how much of a positive impact you want to have on those around you, being the best version of yourself is the key to achieving this.
Dedicated to your health and fitness,
Max
