Just start writing
Writing is simple.
Like a lot of simple things, writing isn’t easy.

Just start writing.
I’m never as productive around the house as I am when I’m attempting to start writing. I’ll tidy my desk, do the dishes, vacuum the floors and go back to tidying my desk in a stunning display of procrastination.
Starting to write is daunting so here’s what I suggest.
Start a word or Google doc on your computer, or even the notes section on your phone.
As you read articles or carry out research jot down any thoughts you have.
After you eat dinner write a short article about the meal you just made.
You research and study anyway so why not start writing about it?
Write something. Every. Single. Day. : an Instagram post, a tweet, a recap of a task you did that day, notes on the book that you’re reading — anything.
Just start writing.
Writing is a muscle and if you don’t use it, you lose it. Not only will writing help you become a go-to person in your space but it is also a great way to organise your thoughts. For me, writing is how I learn faster than any other method.
There are 4 books I suggest that you read on writing. I’ve listed them in recommended order of reading:
On Writing Well — Willian Zinsser
Writing Tools — Roy Peter Clark
The Elements of Style — E. B. White and William Strunk
On Writing — Stephen King
For some reason the act of writing something makes it look like you know it better than the next guy (or girl, it’s 2023). I didn’t make up the rules, I just accept them and use them to my advantage.
Today. Write. Something. Anything. Don’t worry about grammar, a website, whether it gets any likes.
